2024 Hemp Building Events
2024 is shaping up to be a good year for progress for industrial hemp. Now that hemp is legal to grow in the U.S., building standards are being developed for hemp materials, the general public is becoming more accepting of the plant, and consumers are becoming increasingly environmentally conscious, the entire hemp industry is ready to take off.
I believe that events play a crucial role in educating, networking, idea sharing, and can end up being a keystone for growth potential, especially in the unique position the hemp industry is currently in. There is no ceiling in sight for growing this industry. Connecting with other people driven to grow the industry has a compounding effect on motivation and excitement, and could lead to some great results. While I’m sure there are more events that will be planned for later in the year, here’s a list of what I’ve come across so far.
Cornell University is doing a webinar series on hemp for their third year in a row. Here is an excerpt from their website.
Join us for the 3rd annual Hemp Webinar Series hosted by Cornell University. Beginning January 24, 2024, these talks will explore a diverse set of topics within hemp cultivation, processing and genetics. Viewers will have the opportunity to connect with leading experts in the hemp research community and learn about recent developments in the industry. Each webinar will feature a presentation by a hemp expert followed by an interactive Q&A session.

Another event to look forward to is the 10th annual NoCo Hemp Expo in Estes Park, Colorado taking place on April 11th through the 13th. This is an excerpt from their website about past years events, and what to expect this year.
Over the last decade, NoCo Hemp Expo — the world’s most comprehensive industrial hemp exposition and conference — has brought together international business and government leaders, agriculture, academia, nonprofits, media and the public to collaborate on important initiatives, opportunities and solutions for the future of a crop and an industry that can have a significant positive impact on human, animal and planetary health.
We invite you to join us on this mission.
